Letter From the President

Welcome to our New England LIG website!  Thanks to everyone who has helped make 2010 a great year so far.   We have had many great speakers and presentations over the past months, including:

• Kendra Seamans, the ITSM Program Manager from Northeastern University, just gave a very thorough presentation in May on their recent ITSM Tools Selection process
• John Letchford, the Deputy CIO Commonwealth of Massachusetts, shared a very detailed overview of how the Commonwealth of Massachusetts created their Infrastructure Service Catalog and corresponding cost transparencies
• And in January we started the year with a bang through a lively panel discussion on what Software as a Service (SaaS) means for ITSM!
  The Panel Members included experts from BMC, EMC, iETSolutions and Service-now.com.

The entire Board of Directors is also very excited about our upcoming annual June event!  We hope you register today and join us for a full day of incredible speakers from Fidelity, Staples, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Raytheon and a great vendor fair.  David Coyle from Gartner will be our Keynote Speaker, and the topics throughout the day will cover all the hot issues: Service Catalogs, ISO20000, CMDB Implementation, ITSM Organizational issues, and more!

The New England Local Interest Groups is one of the most innovative and active interest groups in the country.  Your participation is key.  We encourage you to share your service management experiences by presenting at future LIG meetings, participating in roundtable discussions or volunteering to help coordinate a future event.  Your contribution of experience is invaluable!!!!!!!!!!
